Mike Melton

BACKGROUND

I was raised on a western Nebraska cattle ranch and have had a diverse career in manufacturing, healthcare, ranching, metal fabrication, welding, automation, failure analysis, quality systems, improvement, change management and business management.

I’m currently a Professor at Methodist Healthcare College and the GM of QA at Liebherr Mining Equipment.  Previously, I worked with Claas agricultural machinery company.  Both are European based with world-wide locations.  My responsibilities included deployment of strategic corporate plans into multiple manufacturing sites and supplier sites.  My experience includes capturing top management goals with measures of success and cascading them into the various organizations.

I live and breathe C3 as a business leader and a teacher.  I constantly think what the product is and who is the customer?  I apply C3 principles at work and in the class room with a mind-set of the customers for which I produce things.  C3 principles help me front load planning to develop systems that customer’s want.

Lisa Powell

BACKGROUND

I have over 25 years of experience in Human Resources in both the public and private sectors.  Currently, I am the HR Director for Linn County where I have been for 10 years.  In this position, I oversee labor relations and contract negotiations, benefits, training, recruitment and employee development at the county.
